1. Introduction
At Visagiste Artistry, we are committed to providing high-quality makeup services and ensuring client satisfaction. This Refund Policy outlines our guidelines for deposits, payments, cancellations, and refunds for our services.
By booking our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this Refund Policy.
2. Deposits and Payments
2.1 Deposits
For most services, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. This deposit is applied toward the total cost of your service.
2.2 Bridal Services
For bridal services, specific deposit requirements will be outlined in a separate bridal contract provided to you upon inquiry. Typically, this includes:
- A non-refundable booking fee to secure your wedding date
- A 50% deposit of the remaining balance due after the trial
- Final payment due 14 days before the wedding date
2.3 Payment Methods
We accept payment via bank transfer, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods as specified during the booking process. All online payments are processed through secure third-party payment processors.
3. Cancellation Policy
3.1 Standard Services
For all non-bridal services, the following cancellation policy applies:
- Cancellations made with at least 48 hours' notice: Your deposit is non-refundable, but no additional fees will be charged.
- Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice: Your deposit is non-refundable, and 50% of the remaining balance will be due.
- No-shows: Full payment is required, and no refund will be issued for any payments made.
3.2 Bridal Services
For bridal services, our cancellation policy is as follows:
- Cancellation of trial appointment: If canceled with at least 7 days' notice, the trial can be rescheduled once without penalty. With less than 7 days' notice, the trial fee is non-refundable.
- Cancellation of wedding date:
- More than 90 days before the wedding: The booking fee is non-refundable, but any additional deposits will be refunded.
- 30-90 days before the wedding: The booking fee and 50% of any additional deposits are non-refundable.
- Less than 30 days before the wedding: All payments are non-refundable.
3.3 Group Workshops and Classes
For group workshops and makeup classes:
- Cancellations made with at least 7 days' notice: Full refund minus a 10% administrative fee.
- Cancellations made with 3-7 days' notice: 50% refund.
- Cancellations made with less than 3 days' notice: No refund.
4. Rescheduling Policy
4.1 Standard Services
Requests to reschedule must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment. One reschedule per booking is permitted without penalty, subject to availability.
Rescheduling with less than 48 hours' notice will be treated as a cancellation and new booking, requiring a new deposit.
4.2 Bridal Services
For bridal services, rescheduling is subject to availability and the following conditions:
- Rescheduling a trial: One reschedule is permitted with at least 7 days' notice without penalty.
- Rescheduling a wedding date: Subject to artist availability. If we cannot accommodate the new date, our cancellation policy will apply.
4.3 Group Workshops and Classes
Group workshops and classes may be rescheduled with at least 7 days' notice, subject to availability. Rescheduling with less than 7 days' notice will be treated as a cancellation and new booking.
5. Refund Conditions
5.1 Service Dissatisfaction
We strive to provide the highest quality services and want you to be completely satisfied. If you are dissatisfied with your service:
- You must inform us of your concerns immediately during or immediately after the service.
- We will make reasonable efforts to address and correct the issue on the spot.
- If we cannot resolve the issue to your satisfaction, you may be eligible for a partial refund or service credit, determined on a case-by-case basis.
Please note that makeup is subjective, and preferences vary. We will do our best to accommodate your style preferences, but differences in taste or style expectations do not automatically qualify for a refund.
5.2 Allergic Reactions or Skin Sensitivities
While we use professional-grade products suitable for most skin types:
- It is your responsibility to inform us of any known allergies or sensitivities before the service.
- If you experience an allergic reaction despite informing us of your allergies, you may be eligible for a partial or full refund, determined on a case-by-case basis.
- Documentation from a medical professional may be required in such cases.
5.3 Cancellation by Visagiste Artistry
In the rare event that we need to cancel your appointment:
- We will provide as much notice as possible.
- We will offer to reschedule your appointment.
- If rescheduling is not possible or not desired, we will provide a full refund of all payments made, including deposits.

6.2 Refund Timeline
We will review and respond to all refund requests within 5 business days. If a refund is approved:
- For credit/debit card payments: Refunds will be processed back to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.
- For bank transfers: Refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days.
- Please note that your financial institution may require additional time to process the refund.
7. Force Majeure
Visagiste Artistry will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from any cause beyond our reasonable control. Such causes include, but are not limited to: power failure, internet service provider failure, natural disasters, severe weather conditions, acts of government, acts of terrorism, acts of war, civil unrest, or widespread illness/pandemic.
In such circumstances:
- We will attempt to reschedule your service.
- If rescheduling is not possible, we will assess refund eligibility on a case-by-case basis.
8. Special Circumstances
8.1 Illness
If you need to cancel due to illness:
- Please notify us as soon as possible.
- With appropriate documentation (such as a doctor's note), we may waive cancellation fees and offer rescheduling without penalty, subject to availability.
8.2 Pregnancy and Medical Emergencies
In the event of pregnancy complications or medical emergencies:
- Please notify us as soon as possible.
- With appropriate documentation, we may offer a full refund of deposits or the option to reschedule without penalty.
9. Gift Certificates and Prepaid Services
For gift certificates and prepaid services:
- Gift certificates are non-refundable but are transferable to another person.
- Gift certificates expire 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise specified.
- Prepaid service packages are non-refundable once services have begun.
10. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services after any changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
